Gate / Witness Engine
The Gate / Witness Engine creates, displays, records, enforces, expires, revokes, and audits approval decisions and founder-observed risky actions. It turns dangerous work into clear, one-action decision cards and proof-bound witness ceremonies.
What it does
- Create view-only gate cards before real engine wiring.
- Create active gate cards only after proven engine wiring.
- Require one primary action per gate card.
- Stop live / sensitive work before approval review.
- Require a current-state recheck before any active gate or witness.
- Capture authorized decision identity, timestamp, evidence refs, reason, and audit event.
What it never does
- Never create a working approve button before the engine is proven and wired.
- Never let a view-only gate execute approval.
- Never ask the founder to approve multiple risky things on one card.
- Never approve gates automatically from chat, CI, screenshot, demo, or roadmap text.
